Modern visible light imaging solutions for healthcare

Mobile image capture and viewing solutions suitable for all sizes of healthcare practices, hospitals and health services.

Goodbye to cumbersome image management

Improve inter-clinical communication

The availability of personal mobile devices offers the capability to take images immediately and share with colleagues for diagnosis, treatment, and management. Sharing images with clinicians can improve clinical practice and inter-clinical communication, improve patient access to timely clinical care especially in situations where specialist care is limited such as in patient homes, remote and regional clinical settings.

Improve access in remote settings

Management of Consent

At the time of capture, consent relevant details can be recorded. The back office can use these details to track the consent process, process withdrawals of consent and provide compliance reporting as needed.

Capture quickly

With a mobile application optimised for the clinical image capture workflow, the process of capturing images is frustration free and integrated with existing patient systems. This allows clinicians to spend less time on data entry.

Simplify use, sharing and disclosure

Share images securely with colleagues in the organisation or in external partner organisations. All viewing is controlled centrally by policy with full auditing. For external colleagues, viewing can be controlled with one-time and time based limits.

Maintain privacy and confidentiality

Clinical images are health information and must be treated with the same confidentiality as other health record information. By controlling access for capture, viewing, and sharing with full auditing, the system ensures that patient images always stay under control and that patient privacy and confidentiality is maintained.

Features

Secure mobile devices

The storage of patient images on personal mobile devices presents many security challenges including unauthorised access if devices are lost or stolen or if accidently shared through uncontrolled means. This system bypasses the storage of images on devices and controls the viewing centrally over secure networks.

Auditing

Every significant user interaction within the system is auditable. Audit log access is protected by policy so system administrators can perform forensic analysis of user activity. See exactly how individual users are using the system and which records they have viewed or modified, who has accessed or shared specific studies and viewed images, exact login and logout times and much more. See the exact search parameters being used to locate studies, patients, and study shares.

Deploy anywhere

Synoptic is designed to be deployed either on premise or in the cloud. Patient administration may be provided by the built-in patient management features or by integrating Synoptic with your organisation’s PAS via the HL7 message bus. Deploy on your own hardware infrastructure, or to your cloud provider such as AWS or Azure. Nothing is required to deploy the mobile application as it is a progressive web app that runs on Apple or Android devices.

Administration

The QA application allows administrators to support users by providing a comprehensive set of tools for managing studies, shares, user accounts, security, and auditing. Studies and patients may be easily split or merged. Studies can be modified for data correction or shared with other internal or external users directly from within the QA app. A powerful search feature allows studies to be located quickly by their accession ID, study date, study performer, patient name and more. Manage patient details, user accounts, security policy, study shares, organisations and more through the simple to use QA app.
